How's school going?

Finding the new buildings a labyrinth of crazy production/writing/animation/starke fun?

Be sure to check out SPO and hang out there-- it truly is a great place to meet people, talk shop and sometimes find SPECTACULAR production surprises.

If you're new and have precious hours that will never return to you (especially in your 2nd semester) be sure to mingle with your classmates-- go see screenings at Norris and have a blast while you have free time!

Have a good rest of your first week... soak up every moment-- You're at USC SCA!! You did it!

Just getting started at the 'ole USC SCA eh? Wondering how your dreams are coming true and this miraculous playground is at your fingertips, huh?

It is true. You're here. You've made it.

We have all had that beautiful moment and part of what makes it so dang gorgeous is the fact that you're a little scared out of your pants too.

We have a perfect solution! Attend events!

Get to know the people around you. Join groups *cough* like the WCA *cough.*

If you're around campus tonight, there is a mixer starting at 5 PM. Look for the WCA, we will be there. Also- look for some new friends and colleagues, they'll be there too.

There is also a mixer being held at The Lab-- a place with which you should become familiar while at USC-- and that's being held by the USC Graduate Council at 6PM. That's another group you should join.

Be sure to check the WCA Twitter account, there shall be tweets tweeting from these events...a little bird told me so.

Welcome to the USC WCA blog! Glad you can make it.

This blog is dedicated to informing you about what's happening with the Women Of Cinematic Arts, the School of Cinematic Arts and USC. It is also a place where, we hope, students and alumni can find common ground.

If you're unaware, which hopefully you are not, the USC WCA also has a twitter account! That's right ladies, you're tweeting.

If you have a twitter account you should follow us at www.twitter.com/USCWCA. If you don't have a twitter account, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? Your grandma has a twitter account. So does your baby. Get one and follow us. It's the cool thing to do.

If you tweet at a WCA event, or feel like giving us a shout out or a #follow friday... be sure to do this:

"alexis_morrell Having so much fun @USCWCA event." = GOOD TWEET.

We also have a "main page" http://www.uscwca.org/. This page will give you any official information you need as well as hook you up to the list serv and people you should know.

It's also more formal than the blog, so if you're looking for news, that's the place. If you're looking for witty commentary regarding that news as well as ways to help students get their feet wet... here we are!
